At the heart of the studio is the belief that welcoming a designer into your home is an act of trust. Our process is collaborative and personal, attuned to the rhythms of everyday life. We prioritize quality materials, artisanal craftsmanship, and thoughtful design to shape spaces that feel not only refined, but truly loved.
The Founder
Hallie Malitsky is a Boston-born, New York–based interior designer who brings over 15 years of creative leadership in fashion to her interiors work. Before founding Hallie Rose Design, she held Design Director roles at Lela Rose, Oscar de la Renta, and Brooks Brothers, directing collections and setting the vision for color, material, and concept. That same mastery of palette, proportion, and storytelling now underpins every space she designs.
Her love of history and craftsmanship naturally evolved from sourcing vintage textiles and garments to curating a vintage shop and, ultimately, to designing full interiors. Layering antiques and vintage pieces is central to her philosophy, creating homes that feel storied, lived-in, and impossible to replicate. As a mother of two, Hallie brings a deeply practical lens to family spaces and children’s rooms- honoring both sophistication and real life in New York and beyond.
