Dreamy Bath and Powder Rooms

Quiet beauty in the smallest spaces: why every detail matters in a bath or powder room.

There’s something so indulgent about a beautiful bath or powder room. The details are what make it sing. Because the space is small, you only have a brief moment to make an impression, and every choice counts.

Hardware can transform a room. Even with a simple vanity or cabinet, I’ll swap the hardware every time. It’s such a small move, but it changes everything, suddenly it looks custom, considered, complete. And in a bath, where space is limited, those details matter even more. I’ll never say no to a Waterworks fixture; there’s just something about the weight of their faucets and the way their hardware feels in your hand that’s hard to beat.

And then there are the whisper moments: the little details that matter just as much. A fragrant bar of soap, a tactile linen towel, a candle by the sink, a small bud vase. Even a simple stool or chair tucked into the corner can feel like a thoughtful surprise. These tiny touches create an atmosphere that lingers. I love a candle with a beautiful jar, doubling as decor, so easy! This Loewe one is simple yet effective. And my all time favorite- an Adlan candle. It’s a unique, layered fragrance housed in custom stoneware vessels, made in Japan, that look as good as they smell. This Mint condition scent is a beautiful fresh surprise.

Powder rooms and bathrooms don’t have to be just practical—they can be sanctuaries. With good hardware, natural stone, and a few well-chosen details, you can create a space that feels calm, elevated, and quietly luxurious. I’ve added a few of my favorite items below that can easily transform your bathroom.
